J.J. Redick trade rumors: Magic have secured offers of late first-round picks in 2013 NBA Draft

Kim Klement-US PRESSWIRE

Orlando Magic guard J.J. Redick is on the trade block, and reports have surfaced that the team has secured offers of late first-round picks in the 2013 NBA Draft in potential deals for the sharpshooter.

Orlando Magic guard J.J. Redick is in the final year of his contract, and plenty of teams have inquired about a trade for the seventh-year guard out of Duke leading up to the NBA trade deadline on Thursday at 3 p.m. ET. Redick is enjoying a career-year on the court, and his ability to hit threes is apparently attracting firm interest from playoff contenders in the NBA.

The Magic have received multiple offers of late first-round draft picks for Redick, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports:

The San Antonio Spurs have reportedly entered the market for Redick, and other teams with late first-round picks in the 2013 NBA Draft to deal include the Los Angeles Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Denver Nuggets, Chicago Bulls, and Indiana Pacers.

Redick will become an unrestricted free agent this summer, and it is rumored that he will be looking for a four-year, $40 million deal. He may not get that much, but Redick figures to land something in excess of the mid-level exception on his next contract. For now, he's a player that contenders are trying to acquire before the playoff push begins.
