Jeff Hanisch-US PRESSWIRE
Both Monta Ellis and Ekpe Udoh have been discussed as a package for Josh Smith of the Atlanta Hawks. Atlanta has added Devin Harris to the mix.
The Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks have continued their discussion of a potential Josh Smith trade, with the deal structured around Monta Ellis and Ekpe Udoh being sent to Atlanta for Smith and Devin Harris, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
The Hawks and Bucks have been in heavy discussions in regards to Smith over the past week. Atlanta has continued to search for the best deal possible, while also preferring to send Smith to the Western Conference. The Houston Rockets have also emerged as suitors for Smith, freshly loaded with new assets to bring to the table.
Udoh is averaging 4 points and 3.4 rebounds per game. Harris is an expiring $8.5 million contract, and with the emergence of point guard Jeff Teague of the Hawks, a potentially expensive back-up option for Atlanta to retain.
