Pierce added eight assists and seven rebounds in the performance and lifted the Celtics (30-27) to their second win of the current road trip, after dropping four of their last five away from TD Garden. Kevin Garnett added 13 points and 10 rebounds to notch a double-double.
Gordon Hayward led the way for the Jazz (31-26) with 26 points on 7-of-16 shooting and three assists. Al Jefferson turned in a 15-point, 11-rebound double-double of his own. Utah had 44 points in the paint to Boston's 28. The Celtics shot 47.7 percent from the field and 90 percent from the free throw line to negate losing the rebounding battle by a margin of 44-37.
