Anthony Davis and Eric Gordon will not suit up for the Hornets on Wednesday night as they visit the Thunder. We'll have to see how that one goes.
The New Orleans Hornets have announced big man Anthony Davis and shooting guard Eric Gordon will sit out of Wednesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Jeff Duncan of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
In a game that was already going to be challenging for New Orleans even with a full deck, the team will now be facing one of the best teams in the league without two of its most important players.
Davis is sitting out with a shoulder injury, while Gordon, still recovering from the knee injury he's dealt with all year, is being held out as a precaution. The big man hurt his shoulder in the third quarter of New Orleans' loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night.
The Hornets have battled injuries all season, but they typically don't have to play teams of Oklahoma City's caliber. We'll have to see if a lineup centered on Greivis Vasquez, Ryan Anderson and Robin Lopez can beat the defending Western Conference champs.
