Roy Hibbert says he'll pay Lance Stephenson's fine for having his back

USA TODAY Sports

Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert told the Indianapolis Star that he'll pay for teammate Lance Stephenson's fine after their involvement in an altercation with the Golden State Warriors.

Roy Hibbert's shoving match with David Lee on Tuesday night led to his Indiana Pacers teammates coming to his defense. He apparently appreciates that, so much so that the Pacers' center told The Indianapolis Star that he'll cover teammate Lance Stephenson's $35,000 bill that the NBA handed out.

Stephenson, along with the Warriors' Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, were all fined for "escalating" the scrum that pushed itself into the seats during the fourth quarter of the game on Tuesday.
