Young was injured as he went for a loose ball against the Magic's Gustavo Ayon in the second quarter. He hit the floor hard right in front of the Sixers' bench, and stayed down for several minutes in obvious pain. An MRI is scheduled for Tuesday, and the ailment appears to be serious.

"Thad is going to be out for a while," said Philadelphia head coach Doug Collins, according to reporter Tom Moore.

Young scored six points in 15 minutes before leaving the game on Monday. In the 2012-13 season, he's averaged 15.1 points and 7.4 rebounds in 46 games. The Sixers will miss his production, since the 6'8 forward has come on strong of late. This is Young's sixth season in the NBA.
