With Larry Sanders commanding major minutes in the post, the Bucks have been shopping Sam Dalembert. Will the injury to Sanders on Tuesday night, or Dalembert's big performance in the same game, alter the situation?
The Milwaukee Bucks have been shopping center Samuel Dalembert given the emergence of breakout big man Larry Sanders, Marc Stein of ESPN.com reports.
While teams generally know what Dalembert brings to the table -- size, rebounding, post defense -- the veteran big man put on an absolutely dominant offensive display against the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night. Often simply overpowering Denver in the post, Dalembert put up a career-high 35 points and 12 rebounds in just 27 minutes of play.
Sure, the performance may have been "an anomaly of epic, cosmic proportions," as SB Nation's Seth Rosenthal put it, but one has to imagine that it has at least gotten the attention of some team executives.
Those expecting the Bucks to jump on the best offer after this performance should probably take a breath though, after Sanders left Tuesday night's game with a back injury. The depth afforded by Sanders' breakout was a major motivation behind shopping Dalembert in the first place, so Milwaukee could choose to change directions now.
Sanders is heading to Utah to rejoin his teammates after x-rays came back negative, but his status isn't clear.
