On a night featuring mostly bad teams, Grizzlies-Jazz stands out as Saturday's best match-up.
Of the 12 teams playing on Saturday night, only five have records above .500, leaving us with some pretty underwhelming games. Other than a late match-up between the Memphis Grizzlies and Utah Jazz, every other game features at least one team destined for the lottery, so don't be surprised by some lopsided results.
The first game to tip off could be one of those blowouts, even though it features two teams that have won exactly 22 games apiece. The Wizards have been dominant at home recently, winning 14 of their past 18 in the Verizon Center, and they'll be hosting a struggling Suns team Saturday night at 7 p.m. ET. Phoenix is 7-27 on the road this season.
At 7:30 p.m. ET, a pair of games on the East Coast tip off as Bobcats-Celtics and Pacers-76ers get going. Boston will be seeking to avenge Tuesday's miserable 100-74 loss to Charlotte, while the Sixers presumably hope to top the 69 points they scored against Indiana last time.
It's been over three years since the Cavaliers beat the Spurs, but they'll give it another shot in San Antonio starting at 8:30 p.m. ET. With Kyrie Irving and Tony Parker both out due to injury, this game won't be as fun as it could be, but the Cavs nearly beat San Antonio a month ago despite a 2 of 15 shooting performance from Kyrie.
The schedule rounds out with Pistons-Trail Blazers and the marquee game of the night, Grizzlies-Jazz, both beginning at 10 p.m. ET. With Utah battling to reach the postseason, expect a great game in Salt Lake City.
