George Hill isn't feeling the love from Pacers fans

USA TODAY Sports

George Hill would like more fan support, considering the Pacers are currently the second-best team in the Eastern Conference.

The Indiana Pacers (40-26) are currently the second-best team in the Eastern Conference and are in a heated race with the New York Knicks to hold onto that spot.

Despite that success, the Pacers are only 26th in the league in attendance, out-drawing only the New Orleans Hornets, Sacramento Kings, Detroit Pistons and Milwaukee Bucks.

After a tough home loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday, Pacers guard George Hill voiced his frustration to Mike Wells of the Indianapolis Star about both the number of Lakers fans in attendance and the lack of home support overall.

"They always say your fans are your sixth man and you feed off that energy," Hill told Wells. "Energy is down and we turn the ball over and we're hearing cheers. We're missing shots and we're hearing cheers. That kind of brings your head down cause you know you're at home. It shouldn't be like that. Now we see how it is. We have to move forward, don't worry about. Stay focus on what's in this locker room and don't worry about the rest."

Wells published the full transcript of Hill's comments here.
