Shabazz Muhammad missed his first seven shots as his UCLA Bruins were upset by the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Friday. But despite Muhammad's poor performance, he did show why he's an elite NBA prospect.

Muhammad shot 6 for 18 overall and 0 for 6 from three-point range. But despite the unimpressive line, he did score 20 points, namely because he's strong, attacks the basket and is good at drawing contact and getting to the free throw line.
Muhammad became another in a long line of top NBA prospects who are already done with their college seasons. Kentucky's Nerlens Noel is out with a torn ACL, but the Wildcats didn't even qualify for the NCAA Tournament anyway. Marcus Smart and Oklahoma State and Anthony Bennett and UNLV lost on Thursday and Otto Porter and Georgetown lost on Friday.
Muhammad is expected to be a top 10 pick should he leave UCLA after his freshman season.
