Joakim Noah, Marco Belinelli out as Bulls face Heat

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Chicago Bulls will be without Noah and Belinelli as they face the Miami Heat and their 27-game winning streak.

The Chicago Bulls face the Miami Heat and their 27-game winning streak on Wednesday without All-Star Joakim Noah and shooting guard Marco Belinelli, according the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson.

Noah will miss his third game in a row because of a plantar fasciitis injury that has come and gone throughout his career. The loss in the paint will be monumental for the Bulls hoping to keep LeBron James and Dwyane Wade away from the basket. Noah averages 2.2 blocks per game.

And on offense Chicago will also miss his 4.1 offensive rebounds per game that could have paid dividends against a small Miami frontline.

The loss of Belinelli's scoring punch is also disappointing news for the Bulls. The Italian gunner has averaged 12.3 points in his last 10 games, and the offensively-limited Bulls will now face a tougher challenge in keeping up with the Heat's efficient offense. That attack only got a boost with the news that Dwyane Wade would return against Chicago after sitting out the past two games with a knee bruise. Belinelli will miss his second game in a row.

Both Noah and Belinelli were listed as gametime decisions heading into Wednesday.
