Mason Plumlee didn't have his best game in the Duke Blue Devils' 71-61 win over Michigan State Friday, but the senior center showed off an array of skills that will likely make him a lottery pick in the 2013 NBA Draft.
Plumlee dealt with foul trouble and missed a couple of open layups on plays he normally finishes, but scored 14 points with seven rebounds on 5-for-9 shooting. He also made all four of his free throws and had two impressive moves in the post, including a running hook shot in traffic as he was fading away. Plumlee was also part of a strong defensive effort that helped limit Derrick Nix to nine points on 3-for-10 shooting.
Plumlee averaged 17.2 points and 10.0 rebounds per game for the season. He's currently projected to go 12th overall in the draft by DraftExpress. His brother, Miles Plumlee, was a first-round pick by the Indiana Pacers last season.
