The Suns center fell awkwardly in their game against the Raptors.
After an awkward fall resulting in a foot injury, Suns center Marcin Gortat had to be helped to the locker room during Wednesday night's game against the Toronto Raptors. It appeared that Gortat came down on Amir Johnson's foot during a rebound, initially looking like a twisted ankle. He fell to the floor, holding it as the Suns took a couple of possessions to stop the clock. He is currently undergoing X-Rays, Raptors community manager Jay Satur reports.
Gortat had a strong start up until that point, hitting four of his six shots and grabbing four rebounds to go with his eight points.
In his stead, Hamed Haddadi made his entrance to the game, seeing his first action as a Sun. Normally Jermaine O'Neal would get the nod, but he's missing several games to be with his family as his daughter has heart surgery.
Gortat's absence makes the Suns even weaker in the frontcourt, leaving them hard up for rebounding help. Hopefully, it's nothing too serious.
