Knicks vs. Bulls final score: Bulls pull away in overtime, final score 118-111

Jonathan Daniel

The Bulls swept their season series with the Knicks riding the bench production from both Richard Hamilton and Nate Robinson.

The Chicago Bulls held off the New York Knicks in overtime and swept the season series with New York, final score 118-111. Chicago went into halftime behind the Knicks but ended the game victorious. The Bulls had taken control of the game in the second half but New York still managed to push the game to overtime. However, Chicago outscored the Knicks 13-6 in the extra period and put an end to the game.

The Bulls' bench played big as Nate Robinson and Richard Hamilton combined for 47 points. Robinson ended the game with a team-high 35 points and was red-hot from beyond the arc, making five of his 11 three-point field goal attempts. Hamilton had a game-high eight assists while scoring 14 points. Jimmy Butler racked up a double-double with 22 points and 13 rebounds.

Carmelo Anthony struggled from the field, making only 13 of his 34 shots, but ended the night with 36 points and a hearty 19 rebounds (six offensive). Anthony has now scored at least 30 points for the sixth-straight game and tightened his grip on the scoring title, still leading Kevin Durant.

J.R. Smith also had a rough night on the floor, going 11-for-27 off the bench while scoring 28 points, but was also aggressive on the boards with 14 rebounds for a double-double.

The Knicks' 13-game winning streak was snapped by the Bulls in Chicago. New York's last loss was on March 17 to the Los Angeles Clippers.
