Joe Johnson and Gerald Wallace will be in the Brooklyn Nets' starting lineup on Thursday as they face the Chicago Bulls at Barclays Center, according to the team. Johnson has missed the past five games first dealing with a right quad contusion. The team listed his heel as being the issue before the Nets' last game.
Wallace was also out during the Nets' last outing, a 113-95 romp of the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday.
Johnson had missed four games of the year to the left heel bruise from Feb. 24 to March 23, but the issue came to a head once again over the last five games. He sat out beginning March 24 against the Phoenix Suns and Brooklyn has gone 3-2 over his most recent absence, all while hanging on to fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
The Nets return home from an eight-game road trip to face a Bulls squad that itself will be without four key players. Chicago is without Joakim Noah, Marco Belinelli, Taj Gibson and Richard Hamilton, not to mentioned the yearlong absence of point guard Derrick Rose.
