Spurs vs. Thunder final score: Thunder win west showdown, final score 100-88

USA TODAY Sports

The Oklahoma City Thunder emerged victorious in a showdown of the top two teams in the Western Conference and inched closer to snagging the first seed away from the San Antonio Spurs.

The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the San Antonio Spurs in TNT's nightcap that featured the top two seeds in the Western Conference, final score 100-88. While the Spurs made it a game, eventually the Thunder pulled away during the final minutes of the fourth quarter and picked up a big win.

Kevin Durant scored 25 points on 10-of-20 shooting. Russell Westbrook had seven assists and seven rebounds while scoring a game-high 27 points. Westbrook was perfect from the free throw line, making all seven of his attempts. Oklahoma City put on a block party, blocking 12 shots combined as a team.

Westbrook and Durant leading the way in the scoring department comes as no surprise, but Derek Fisher's 17 points were unexpected. In his previous ten games combined, he had scored only 23 points for Oklahoma City.

Kawhi Leonard put together a double-double with 24 points and 14 rebounds. Tony Parker was quiet through the night, ending with only two points and four assists. Gary Neal, however, had 14 points off the bench. Tim Duncan had a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds.

The Thunder are now just a half-game behind the Spurs for the first seed in the Western Conference.
