2013 NBA schedule: Battle of Los Angeles highlights busy Sunday

The Lakers and Clippers play each other in the second of two national TV games Sunday. The Clippers could not only clinch a division title, but sweep the season series from the Lakers.

The Los Angeles Clippers (50-26) 'host' the Los Angeles Lakers (40-36) at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in what is not technically a road game for either team. The game also has plenty of implications for both.

In a reversal of fortunes for the teams based on their dissimilar histories, the Clippers, who just won their 50th game of the season last week, a franchise record, could clinch their first-ever division title with a win Sunday. The Lakers come into the game as the team struggling just to make the playoffs. The Lakers have a half-game lead over the Utah Jazz for the eighth and final playoff spot.

Both teams have played well at Staples Center this season -- the Clippers are 29-9 at home and the Lakers are 25-12.

The teams have played three times this season, with the Clippers winning all three of them. Chris Paul is averaging 24 points and nearly 14 assists in those games and Kobe Bryant is averaging 32 points per game and shooting 59 percent against the Clippers. Here is the rest of Sunday's NBA schedule (all times ET):

New York Knicks at Oklahoma City Thunder, 1 p.m. (ABC)

Memphis Grizzlies at Sacramento Kings, 6 p.m.

Orlando Magic at Cleveland Cavaliers, 6 p.m.

Washington Wizards at Boston Celtics, 6 p.m.

Chicago Bulls at Detroit Pistons, 7:30 p.m.

Utah Jazz at Golden State Warriors, 8 p.m.

New Orleans Hornets at Phoenix Suns, 9 p.m.

Dallas Mavericks at Portland Trail Blazers, 9 p.m.
