Florida Gators big man Patric Young will not enter the 2013 NBA Draft and return to school for his senior year.

Patric Young will return to the Florida Gators for his senior season after deciding not to enter the 2013 NBA Draft, according to the school's website. The 6'9, 249 pound center ultimately decided it was in his best interest play out his collegiate career under coach Billy Donovan and earn his degree.

"We're excited that Patric will continue with us for his senior season," head coach Billy Donovan said. "This was Patric's decision to make, and he ultimately had to do what he felt was best for himself and his future."

In his junior campaign, Young helped the Gators to the Elite Eight where they lost to the Michigan Wolverines. Young averaged 10.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game, which were less than his 10.2-point and 6.4-rebound averages in his sophomore season.

Though Young improved greatly as a shot-blocker from 0.8 to 1.6 blocks per game over the last two seasons, he is undersized as an NBA prospect and hasn't shown the expected improvement in his offensive game to move up the draft boards. He's also not proved to be an elite rebounder that could carve out a niche in the league.

Draft Express had Young going 38th overall in this summer's NBA Draft, and NBADraft.net had the Florida big man being selected 53rd overall.

Young will return to the Gators next season along with seniors Scottie Wilbekin, Casey Prather and Will Yeguete.
