On Monday, Kansas freshman guard Ben McLemore confirmed in a press conference that he will declare for the NBA Draft. The 20-year-old spent just one season with the Jayhawks.
The 6'5, 185-pound guard made the most of his opportunity, averaging 15.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists in his freshman season while shooting 49.5 percent from the field. He was the Jayhawks' leading scorer and one of their most important pieces during their run to the Big 12 title and Sweet 16.
Considered one of the best shooting guards in this year's draft class, McLemore is expected to be a lottery pick. Draft Express' latest mock draft has him going No 2 overall, while CBS Sports' Jeff Goodman believes he will be the first player off the board.
