Tony Parker injury: Spurs PG expected to play in Game 4 despite bruised calf

Spurs point guard Tony Parker injured his calf in the fourth quarter of Game 3 against the Warriors, but he's expected to play in Game 4 on Sunday.

San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker is battling a calf injury, but both he and head coach Gregg Popovich expect him to play in Game 4 against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday, according to Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News.

Parker suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of the Spurs' 102-92 Game 3 victory on Friday night. He said he "got kicked pretty bad," but he stayed in the game despite a limp. The Spurs' star point guard finished the game with 32 points on 13-of-23 shooting.

Parker said Saturday he has a "baseball sized knot" in his left calf, but he does not expect it to keep him off the court. He did not get an X-ray and team doctors are confident the injury is only a bruise.

The Spurs will need Parker to be close to his best in Game 4 as they look to take a commanding 3-1 series lead over Golden State.
