NBA mock draft roundup: Multiple players vying for top picks

Nerlens Noel was initially believed to be the runaway favorite to go No. 1 in the NBA Draft, but now others have stepped into the mix. In fact, the entire top ten is still pretty uncertain.

With just over a week to go until the 2013 NBA Draft, draft experts from around the Internet can't seem to agree on much, even in the often-predictable top of the Lottery.

Popular opinion seems to be that Kentucky forward Nerlens Noel (scouting report) will go No. 1 to the Cleveland Cavaliers, but even that assumption is disputed. A source in Cleveland reportedly told Sheridan Hoops that the Cavaliers are not sold on Noel and might take Maryland's Alex Len (scouting report) instead. has placed Len atop its board, while CBS's Matt Moore has him all the way down at No. 9 -- an indication of how much is still unknown about next week's draft. Moore also has Georgetown's Otto Porter (scouting report) as the top pick, while most other sites have him going 2 or 3.

No pick in the top ten features across-the-board agreement among six prominent sites, though there are some trends. Michigan guard Trey Burke (scouting report), for example, goes to the New Orleans Pelicans in four out of the six mock drafts. Pelicans coach Monty Williams says Burke has improved, even since Michigan's Championship Game run a couple months ago, noting the point guard has "put on some muscle."

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (scouting report) is believed to be a strong candidate to go to Minnesota at No. 9, and that's where three sites have him headed, while SB Nation has him going tenth to Portland. In that mock draft, fellow guard C.J. McCollum (scouting report) goes to Minnesota.
