NBA Draft 2013: Warriors, Timberwolves and Thunder involved in 3-team deal

USA TODAY Sports

The Golden State Warriors bought their way into the end of the first round by way of the Minnesota Timberwolves' 26th pick -- and then traded that pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder for the 29th pick, confusing everyone involved.

The Minnesota Timberwolves traded their No. 9 pick for Shabazz Muhammad and Gorgui Dieng and, with that, it seems as though the new regime has decided the 2013 NBA Draft was a successful one. Instead of using their No. 26 overall pick on another first-round rookie, the Wolves decided to sell the pick to the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors didn't waste any time flipping that pick, however, as they apparently sent it to the Oklahoma City Thunder for the No. 29 pick along with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to ESPN's Chad Ford.

Still, though, the Warriors weren't done making moves in a draft they weren't involved in when it started. Golden State decided they could still get the guy they wanted with the No. 30 pick so they swapped down one pick with the Phoenix Suns for the 30th overall pick, according to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.

Eventually, when the Warriors were finished making their moves, the Wolves were out of the draft, Andre Roberson was selected by the Thunder, Archie Goodwin was selected by the Suns and Golden State landed Nemanja Nedovic with the 30th overall pick -- while confusing everyone in the process.

It ended up being quite the frenzy on Thursday night, as the Warriors weren't originally supposed to even have a pick in the 2013 draft. It was interesting, then, that they ended up buying a pick from the Wolves, only to flip it for a selection three spots later.

The Warriors' whirlwind of moves wasn't only a frenzy for the Warriors, but for the media involved in trying to break it, too:
