The 2013 NBA Las Vegas Summer League schedule opens on Friday, and Cody Zeller, the No. 4 overall pick in the NBA Draft headlines the action on Day 1. The New York Knicks, New Orleans Pelicans, Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Clippers, Cleveland Cavaliers, L.A. Lakers, Charlotte Bobcats and San Antonio Spurs will all be in action during preliminary round games. Here's the breakdown of the schedule and how you can watch.

All four games on Friday will be televised on NBA TV, and if you do not have access to NBA TV you can still purchase a subscription for $14.99 from to stream the action over the Internet. All times shown below are ET.

Schedule for Friday, July 12

4 p.m. ET -- New York vs. New Orleans (Game 1)

Players to watch: The Knicks' roster features Tim Hardaway Jr. and Iman Shumpert. Hardaway Jr. will have the opportunity to prove he can function as a scorer, while Shumpert may get the chance to assert his dominance on both ends of the floor against lesser competition. Meanwhile, the Pelicans are hoping that former first-round pick Austin Rivers shows signs of life as an NBA prospect after a disastrous rookie year.

6 p.m. ET -- Atlanta vs. LA Clippers (Game 2)

Players to watch: John Jenkins, Dennis Schröder and Mike Muscala are the players to watch on the Hawks' roster. The Clippers don't have much room on the NBA roster, so their summer league squad isn't very intriguing. Reggie Bullock may be the player to watch for L.A.

8 p.m. ET -- Cleveland vs. LA Lakers (Game 3)

Players to watch: Dion Waiters is the star of Cleveland's roster, while Tyler Zeller may be fighting to prove his worth as a backup big in the wake of the Andrew Bynum signing. The Lakers are hoping for a breakout performance from older players like Chris Douglas-Roberts, Josh Selby and Lazar Hayward.

10 p.m. ET -- Charlotte vs. San Antonio (Game 4)

Players to watch: Cody Zeller is the best prospect to watch for Day 1. He was a controversial pick in the NBA Draft due to concerns about his ability to play against long, athletic NBA defenders, so people will be watching his performances closely. Top picks Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Bismack Biyombo will also be looking to prove they have taken a step forward in their development. Aron Baynes, Nando De Colo and Cory Joseph are probably the most interesting players on San Antonio's team.
