EuroBasket is well underway in Slovenia with 24 games already completed over the past two days. Friday's schedule allows a bit of a breather, however, as some teams are given a break with just six total games instead of the 12 that were scheduled during the first two days of the tournament.
Friday's schedule might seem a little light on talent since Spain, Greece and Turkey all have the day off, but the nightcap featuring Macedonia and Serbia should be a fun one to watch, as it features the best overall talent matchup of the day.
Macedonia, referred to in FIBA circles as as FYROM due to it being the "former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia," features one of the tournament's best players in Bo McCalebb. The 5'10 guard grew up in America and played his college basketball at New Orleans, but has blossomed into a star on the international scene since becoming a naturalized citizen of Macedonia.
Serbia, Macedonia's neighbors to the north, features a recognizable name, as well, in former NBA big man Nenad Krstic. And a trio of NBA Draft picks are on their roster as well in Nemanja Bjelica, Nemanja Nedovic and Bogdan Bogdanovic -- the latter withdrew from this year's draft, but he'll likely be selected in 2014.
