New York Knicks forward Andrea Bargnani is out indefinitely after an MRI revealed a torn ligament in his left elbow, the team announced on Thursday:

Given the time listed in that tweet, it appears Bargnani hurt his elbow when he went "Air Bargnani" against the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night. Bargnani stayed in the game afterward and finished with 20 points on 7-for-12 shooting, plus four rebounds.
Bargnani is averaging 13.3 points and 5.3 rebounds for the Knicks this season, shooting 44.2 percent from the floor and 27.8 percent from three-point range. New York is already missing Kenyon Martin (ankle), Amar'e Stoudemire (ankle) and Metta World Peace (knee) in the frontcourt. This injury likely means more minutes for Jeremy Tyler.
The Knicks have lost five games in a row and are 15-27 on the season, tied with the Cleveland Cavaliers for 10th in the Eastern Conference.
