THEN, the play went to review to confirm that the shot was indeed a three, but the television broadcast thought they'd be reviewing whether or not the shot was taken before the shot clock expired, which it did before the ball left Lawson's hand.
That's not how it works, though. Since the foul occurred before the shot clock expired, continuation takes precedent as the clock is supposed to stop automatically. Therefore, the shot was good, and, eventually, so were the technical and and-1 free throws. Sorry for the confusion.
