Grizzlies vs. Bulls final score: Memphis snaps Chicago's 5-game home winning streak, 85-77

David Banks-USA TODAY Sports

The Grizzlies battled back from a second-half deficit in the victory.

The Memphis Grizzlies erased an eight-point second half deficit en route to an 85-77 win against the Chicago Bulls.

The matchup of the night was held in the trenches with Memphis' Marc Gasol and Chicago's Joakim Noah representing both teams in the post. Gasol bullied his way to 18 points, ten rebounds and three blocks, while Noah finished with 15 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

Taj Gibson led the Bulls with 18 points and D.J. Augustin provided 14 points, 12 of those coming in the second quarter. Mike Miller led Memphis' bench with 14 points and reserve big Kosta Koufos added 12 points and six boards.

Offense was tough to come by early as both teams struggled from the field. The Bulls shot just 42 percent in the first half, and the Grizzlies only netted 39 percent of their own shots, but the offenses picked up in the third quarter.

Memphis finished the third quarter with 30 points, taking a 65-63 lead heading into the final quarter. The Grizzlies maintained that lead, eventually pulling away with under a minute remaining.

The Grizzlies sit half a game out of the eighth playoff spot in the Western Conference.
