The Miami Heat coasted in the regular season to the No. 2 seed in the playoffs. They are just 4-6 over the last 10 games, but this is the time of the year when the Heat turn it on. They are 12-2 in the first round of the playoffs over the last three years. That's a little easier to do when LeBron James is on your team.
But the Bobcats are hot. They finished out the regular season 8-2 and thrived all year behind the sixth-best defense (101.2 points per 100 possessions) in the league, per NBA.com/stats. Miami uses small, flexible lineups, but Charlotte has Al Jefferson, a big, crafty low post presence. Jefferson might struggle defending out to the perimeter, but he will get buckets against smaller Heat lineups.
