NBA playoffs: Pacers, Thunder, Warriors stave off elimination

Kevin Durant was quite reliable, pouring in 36 points to lead Oklahoma City to a blowout win in Memphis to force a Game 7. Elsewhere, led by David West, Indiana stayed alive, rallying from a five-point deficit with three minutes left to top the Hawks, 95-88. Later Golden State edged the Clippers, 100-99, sending that series to Game 7 on Saturday as well.

What happened Thursday in the NBA Playoffs

Three teams faced elimination on Thursday. All three times managed to win and force their series to the brink. Most notably, Kevin Durant stepped up after a newspaper headline questioned him, leading Oklahoma City to a blowout win over Memphis.

Westbrook standing putback dunk

Starting to think Russell Westbrook's knee is just fine.

In the second quarter of Thursday night's game against the Memphis Grizzlies, Westbrook was on a drive down the lane when the Grizzlies defense collapsed on him. He kicked back out to the arc to a waiting Kevin Durant, who clanged a three-pointer.

Westbrook was caught standing underneath the basket, which turned out to be a good thing. With a little help from Serge Ibaka, Westbrook skied over Marc Gasol for the standing putback dunk.

Mike Scott throws down dunk on Ian Mahinmi

Mike Scott is a three-point specialist, right? Think again.

In the third quarter in Thursday night's game against the Indiana Pacers, Scott raised up and threw down a hammer of a dunk on Pacers backup center Ian Mahinmi.

The dunk woke up the crowd in Atlanta, and had Roy Hibbert mumbling from the bench about how he's glad he's been sitting on the bench all half. Probably.

George Hill and Mike Scott slapfight

Things are getting chippy out East, probably because Indiana is in danger of becoming the sixth-ever No. 1 seed to be bounced in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

In the second quarter of Thursday night's game, Mike Scott and George Hill went toe-to-toe on a dead ball. Hill pointed his finger a little to close to Scott's face -- in it, really -- and Scott responded with a two-hand shove to Hill's face. A fracas ensued, with both players being assessed technicals.

Hawks try and close out Pacers

The Hawks have a chance to pull off the stunning upset at home.

Grizzlies look to close out Thunder at Grindhouse
