Nets vs. Raptors, NBA playoffs 2014: Time, TV schedule, radio and more

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

DeMar DeRozan will need some assistance as the Toronto Raptors host the Brooklyn Nets in a do-or-die game.

Update: Paul Pierce wins the series for the Nets with game-ending block.

With Beyonce and Jay-Z looking on, the Brooklyn Nets smacked the Toronto Raptors right in the mouth in Game 6 of the teams' first-round playoff series. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary that helped the Nets extend the series -- coach Jason Kidd did tinker with the lineups -- but nothing has been ordinary in this matchup. It's been close throughout.

The Home Team

Through 10 regular season and playoff games this season, the point total stands in favor of the Raptors at 767-766, and the Nets and Raptors have gone back and forth on the court as much as their hometown media followers have in writing the headlines. For Toronto to win in the final meeting of the year, stopping Joe Johnson from doing what he wants is the most important goal, though holding him to 17 points in Game 6 didn't mean much with Deron Williams going for 23 and the Raptors looking anemic offensively.

DeMar DeRozan has been spectacular in the series since struggling in Game 1 by averaging 27 points per game in his last five, but he'll need more production from his teammates at home to get it done. Toronto only had DeRozan and point guard Kyle Lowry in double-figures by the end of Game 6.
