NBA playoffs 2014, Clippers vs. Thunder: Time, TV schedule, radio and more

Mark D. Smith-USA TODAY Sports

The Thunder and Clippers square off after series that were full of off-the-court drama.

For the Los Angeles Clippers, to make it to the second round of the playoffs is a success in itself. Doc Rivers' team put the distraction of the Donald Sterling scandal aside to beat the Golden State Warriors in seven games, but their next opponents, the Oklahoma City Thunder, had quite a battle themselves.

Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook needed seven games to beat the Memphis Grizzlies, and they needed to make a statement after the newspaper thrown to their doorsteps called Durant "Mr. Unreliable."

The Thunder will have to lean on Serge Ibaka to hang with Blake Griffin. The matchup of Chris Paul and Westbrook, two very good but very different point guards, is full of intrigue. Oklahoma City's 2-7 matchup in the first round looked more like the conference finals, as did the 3-6 matchup between the Clippers and Warriors. That makes this conference semifinals matchup quite appealing.
