With the 27th pick in the NBA Draft, the Phoenix Suns have selected Bogdan Bogdanovic, a 21-year-old guard from Serbia. Bogdanovic was the third first-round selection from Phoenix and he joins T.J. Warren and Tyler Ennis as the newest members of the Suns.
Bogdanovic put up 14.8 points per game last season as he broke out in the Euroleague and was touted on the air by Fran Fraschilla as near-NBA ready. He also played on the Serbian national team over the summer at the European Championships.
The Suns just missed the playoffs this year in the Western Conference and with potentially three rookies -- we don't yet know if Bogdanovic will join the team in 2014-15 -- coming in, they seem poised to make a run next season.
Bogdanovic would be another hand in an already talented Phoenix backcourt. Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe led the way last year and Ennis is expected to compete for playing time right away.
