Carmelo Anthony is making the rounds as a free agent, with teams pulling out all the stops to try and lure the 30-year-old away from New York. Houston is one place Anthony could land, and the Rockets have followed the Bulls' own flashy recruiting pitch off with a very interesting display outside their arena.

In the digital marquee above the Toyota Center, the Rockets photoshopped a home and away version of the Houston jerseys on to Anthony. The keen eye will note that Anthony is wearing current backup point guard Jeremy Lin's No. 7 in the graphic.

The idea by management and the creative team at the Rockets was likely just to put Anthony into the number he's most recently familiar with as a way for the superstar to help visualize himself running alongside the likes of James Harden and Dwight Howard.
However, there has been some speculation on Lin's future with the team, particularly since signing Anthony likely requires moving Lin's $8.4 million contract in order to clear space for a third max salary. Houston traded Omer Asik to New Orleans on June 26 to that effect.
Anthony reportedly met with the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday and will meet with the Dallas Mavericks and Rockets on Wednesday, followed by the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.
