Pau Gasol has officially been ruled out for Game 5 between the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday with a hamstring strain, according to Vincent Goodwill of CSN Chicago. Gasol was considered a game-time decision heading into Tuesday and was seen stretching out his left hamstring prior to Chicago's shootaround at Quicken Loans Arena in the morning.
Gasol injured the hamstring in Game 3 and had to leave early before missing Game 4, in which the Cavaliers tied the series at two games apiece with a buzzer beater from LeBron James.
In Chicago's first-round series win over the Bucks, Gasol averaged 16.3 points and 11.8 rebounds, then he averaged 16 points and seven rebounds in the first two games against the Cavs, including 21 points and 10 boards in Game 1, a 99-92 Bulls win.
Gasol played in 78 games in the regular season, his healthiest year since 2010-11 with the Lakers, when he played in all 82 games.
