For unknown reasons, J.R. Smith was up early on Thursday morning responding to fan questions on Twitter.
Among the inquiries, which ranged from Popeyes vs. KFC to his favorite part about playing in China, Smith was asked to comment on the LeBron James vs. Charles Barkley feud that has made headlines for the past few days.
Chuck called James “whiny” after The King’s recent requests for a playmaker to help take the load off himself and Kyrie Irving. Barkley even suggested that LeBron didn’t really want to compete. James fired back by highlighting the times when Barkley spat on a kid and literally threw someone out a window.
It’s clear that Smith is taking his teammate’s side on this one, even going so far as to suggest Barkley was and never will be the player or person that LeBron is.
Check out Smith’s Twitter to see all of his responses to questions from this morning, but I’d argue that the one below might be the best.
