A look at some notable matchups and other observations from the Bulls win over the Thunder.
It was a loss, but it's a loss I felt really good about. In fact, is was just as satisfying as a win. With Durant, Westbrook, and Collison sitting the entire game out, the Thunder's bench managed to push the Bulls starters to the brink.
The Bulls starters (featuring Carlos Boozer) did enough to hold on to a victory against the mostly star-less OKC Thunder, but a Kirk Hinrich injury and poor bench play are some worrying signs.
Bulls-Thunder just got a lot less interesting.
I know we're all sick of the Pre-Season already, but I do have some good news. This game will be televised, and, for about two or three quarters, it will be a nice test of how far the Thunder have come over the Summer.
