Lakers vs. Jazz, Game 5 Recap. Lamar Odom played perhaps his best game as a Laker, and is starting to look like the Pippen to Kobe's Jordan. Meanwhile, the Lakers again blew most of a large lead, and Phil Jackson's rotations may be to blame.

Kobe Bryant the assassin is back, and he means business. Expect a solid win tonight — not only because the Lakers will be motivated by a Cavs sweep and a 3-1 Rockets lead, but because The Black Mamba simply won't put up with any more nonsense.

Even a mild improvement over their performance in Game 3 should give the Lakers a win in Game 4 — good news, since there is ample room for improvement, and the Lakers should be motivated after losing a game they should have won.

With the Lakers playing some of their worst basketball of the year, and Deron Williams hitting a game-winner in Utah, it took a perfect storm for the Jazz to win in Game 3. Any improvement by the Lakers, who should be motivated after their first loss of the playoffs, should result in a Lakers win.

11 Time to Stop Underselling the Jazz

It's time for Lakers fans to stop nit-picking at double-digit wins and acting like this series with the Jazz is supposed to be a walk in the park. The Jazz are better than that, and it's time to give our opponents the respect they deserve.
