Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Gerald Wallace poured in 29 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as the Charlotte Bobcats destroyed the Phoenix Suns, 125-99, at Time Warner Cable Arena.

Stephen Jackson added 29 points, eight assists, five rebounds and five steals for the Bobcats, who have won the first four games of a six-game homestand.

Derrick Brown donated 18 points off the bench. Nazr Mohammed tallied 11 points and six boards while Raymond Felton had 10 points, six assists, and five rebounds for Charlotte, which improved to 16-4 at home this year.

"We knew that they had a tough loss last night and they were going to come out and try to play with a lot of energy, but we knew we had to make the first stand. We had it in our minds tonight that we needed to get off to a good start. We were able to get out to a good start and sustain it the rest of the game," Jackson said.

Amare Stoudemire ended with 19 points and seven rebounds for the Suns, who have dropped the first three contests of a four-game road trip, which concludes in Memphis on Monday. Leandro Barbosa chipped in 17 points off the bench and Robin Lopez finished with 14 points in defeat.

The Bobcats took control of the game from the opening tip, starting the first quarter on a 12-0 run. Charlotte then used a 10-0 spurt midway through the period to build a 16-point lead. Jackson's jumper made it a 30-14 contest with over five minutes left.

Charlotte, which was ahead 43-22 after 12 minutes, got a trey and slam from Flip Murray at the midway mark of the second to make it 58-27. The score was 74-47 at the break.

The Bobcats cruised to victory in the second half.

"We were never in the game. They scored at will and basically just did everything they wanted to do. I thought that after a game like last night we would have a little carry-over but it didn't happen," Suns head coach Alvin Gentry said.
