(Sports Network) - The Cleveland Cavaliers will try to close out a perfect three-game homestand tonight when they face the Central Division-rival Chicago Bulls at Quicken Loans Arena.
The Cavs beat Dallas and Phoenix to improve to 7-2 at home, and is coming off Wednesday's 107-90 victory over the Suns in which Zydrunas Ilgauskas set a franchise record for games played with the team and finished with a team-best 14 points off the bench. Ilgauskas topped Cleveland general manager Danny Ferry's old mark with his 724th game in a Cavaliers uniform. Ilgauskas also added six rebounds and moved into third place on the Cavs' all-time scoring list.
"It's terrific for (Ilgauskas) and his family to accomplish that feat with everything that he's going through," said Cavs head coach Mike Brown.
Superstar LeBron James added 12 points, 10 assists and eight boards, while Shaquille O'Neal had 12 points and nine rebounds in his first game against Phoenix since an offseason trade to Cleveland, which won for the fifth time in six games.
Chicago just put the brakes on a five-game losing streak -- all on the road -- with a 92-85 triumph versus the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday at the United Center. John Salmons posted 22 points, Derrick Rose finished with 19 and six assists and Brad Miller added 16 points, seven boards and six assists for Chicago, which got a game-best 14 boards and seven points from Joakim Noah.
"We just have to do a good job of being mature about it and take care of it, not relaxing that we're home," said Bulls forward Luol Deng. "A lot of teams are going to come in and try to beat us. We're a good home team and we have to try and keep that up."
The Bulls, who are 2-8 away from the Windy City this season, defeated Cleveland by an 86-85 score earlier last month and have won two in a row in the series. Chicago, though, has lost 14 of its last 19 games at Cleveland.
