Toronto, OC (Sports Network) - Jason Richardson scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds, as the Phoenix Suns used a strong second half to defeat the Toronto Raptors, 113-94, at Air Canada Centre.

Steve Nash added 20 points and 16 assists for the Suns, who have won four in a row. Amare Stoudemire chipped in 18 points and seven rebounds while Leandro Barbosa had 17 points off the bench for Phoenix, which has defeated Toronto 12 consecutive times.

The Suns' 14-3 start to the season ties a franchise mark.

"It was a good performance. Toronto is a really good team at home. We came out and took care of our responsibilities and got the win. We feel fortunate to get the win," said Nash.

Chris Bosh tallied 30 points and 17 rebounds for the Raptors, who have dropped three in a row and seven of nine overall. Andrea Bargnani ended with 24 points and seven boards for Toronto, which shot 39.1 percent from the field.

"We just missed shots. I wouldn't say it was the threes. We took open shots and we missed them. It happens like that sometimes," said Bosh.

Ahead 57-55 early in the third, the Suns went on a 13-2 run. Grant Hill, Nash and Richardson each drilled a three-pointer during the burst to give Phoenix a 70-57 lead with 7:07 to go.

The Suns ripped off eight straight points moments later to go ahead 80-61 with under four minutes remaining.

The Raptors bridged the third and fourth frames with an 8-0 spurt. Hedo Turkoglu recorded two straight three-point plays to cap the flurry, cutting the gap to 84-79.

Phoenix responded with six straight points, and Stoudemire's basket made it 90-79 with 9:45 to play in the contest.

Toronto couldn't get closer than nine the rest of the way, and Phoenix used a late surge to seal the victory.

Barbosa made a three-pointer and jumper at the end of the first quarter to give the Suns a 33-25 lead.

Phoenix held a slim lead for the entire second stanza and had a 50-49 margin at the break.

Phoenix defeated Toronto, 101-100, on November 15 this season, as Nash poured in 23 points and his three-point play with 38.9 seconds left in the fourth proved to be the difference.
