Recap: Sacramento vs. Phoenix

Sacramento, CA (Sports Network) - Steve Nash finished just shy of a triple- double, recording 23 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds, as the Suns used a big third quarter run to down the reeling Kings, 114-102, at ARCO Arena.

Amare Stoudemire contributed 30 points and nine rebounds for the Suns, who have won a season-high five in a row and finished a four-game road trip unblemished. Jason Richardson chipped in with 16 points in the win.

Grant Hill, Robin Lopez and Goran Dragic each had 10 points for Phoenix, which used a 22-3 burst during the decisive third quarter to put the game out of reach.

Donte Greene had a career-high 31 points to go with seven rebounds for the Kings, who have dropped 12 of their last 13 games to fall to 16-33 this season. Omri Casspi added 17 points and eight rebounds, while Tyreke Evans had 13 in the setback.

The Suns got out to a quick start, as Nash's second three-pointer in the early minutes put the visitors ahead by a 15-6 margin.

Lopez's three-point play with 3 1/2 minutes left put Phoenix ahead by 10, 31-21, and the Suns carried a 39-24 advantage into the second quarter.

Phoenix used an 8-0 burst in the middle portion of the second to grab a commanding 52-31 lead on a pair of Richardson free throws, but Sacramento fought back to make it a 66-51 game at halftime.

Sacramento scored eight consecutive points early in the third quarter to climb back to within 70-60, but the Suns put the game out of reach with an ensuing 22-3 run.

Stoudemire had 11 during the stretch, and Dragic's layup with just under three minutes left in the third had Phoenix in front by a 92-63 score.

The Suns held a 96-71 lead after three quarters and were never threatened in the fourth.

Phoenix has taken all three games with the Kings this season...Sacramento has lost five straight overall...The Suns went 31-of-39 from the free throw line, while the Kings went 27-of-40.
