(Sports Network) - The San Antonio Spurs shoot for their first road win of the season tonight when they square off with in-state rival Dallas for the second time in eight days.

The Spurs, who are 0-3 as the visitor this season, topped Dallas, 92-83, in the Alamo City last Wednesday despite being without stars Tony Parker and Tim Duncan.

Most recently, San Antonio fell at home to the much improved Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday. Kevin Durant scored 25 points and missed just two of his 15 free throw attempts in that one, as Oklahoma City held on for a 101-98 win over the Spurs.

San Antonio got back the services of Duncan and Parker but lost to the Thunder for the third time in the last four meetings. Both players were out the previous two games with ankle injuries. Duncan had 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Parker scored 17, as San Antonio had its two-game win streak broken.

George Hill had 18 points for the Spurs, who also got 10 from veteran Antonio McDyess.

"They have a great young team, athletic," said Hill. "They get up and down the floor so it's always going to be tough. They're tough for everyone."

Dallas, which is opening up a three-game homestand tonight, is coming off a thrilling win in Milwaukee on Monday.

Dirk Nowitzki buried a jumper from the left of the foul line at the overtime buzzer in that one to lift the Mavericks to a 115-113 win over the Bucks.

Nowitzki led the way with 32 points and 11 rebounds as Dallas won its third straight game. Drew Gooden tacked on 22 points and 14 boards, while Jason Kidd narrowly missed a triple-double with nine points, 10 rebounds and 17 assists. Jason Terry scored 19 in the win.

Brandon Jennings, coming off a Bucks rookie-record 55-point performance in a win over Golden State Saturday, ended with 25 points, seven boards and eight assists Monday night. It was his missed three-pointer that opened the door for the Mavs at the end, however.

Jennings was well off the mark on a three-point try with 3.5 seconds left, and the Mavs called timeout to set up the final play. Milwaukee had a foul to give and used that to take 0.4 seconds off the clock.

Nowitzki then got the inbounds pass and turned before firing a fall-away shot over Luc Richard Mbah a Moute. The ball looked to be on its way in the basket cleanly, but it clanked off the rim before going high off the backboard and finally through. The Mavs swarmed Nowitzki on the court in celebration.

"When it left my hand I thought it was going straight in," said Nowitzki. "The bounce obviously was lucky. When it bounced up it seemed like it was up there forever. We got a lucky bounce and we definitely needed it."

On the injury front for the Mavs, forward Shawn Marion sprained his left ankle in the second quarter against Milwaukee and is day-to-day, while center Erick Dampier is listed as questionable after being hospitalized for an undisclosed illness.

Dallas, which eliminated the Spurs in five games in the first round of the playoffs last season, has lost three of its last four regular season meetings with San Antonio, including last week's contest.
