Bulls once again start slow against an inferior opponent, but this time the comeback is not sustained to a victory.
The Bobcats jumped out to a big first-quarter lead against the Chicago Bulls, gave back the lead by the end of the third quarter, and then finally prevailed after a tight fourth quarter.
D.J. Augustin: 15/10 through three quarters. Tyrus Thomas: 9 rebounds (3 offensive) in under 18 minutes.
Next thread post-game.
This is the first in a series of games for the Bobcats against higher-end competition over the next two months that will serve to either separate them from the playoff contenders, or solidify their standing among the top eight Eastern Conference teams.
Fans of the Chicago Bulls are crying out for Ronnie Brewer to replace Keith Bogans in the starting lineup. Well, it ain't gonna happen. At least not yet.
Tomorrow, the Bobcats will face the Chicago Bulls, a team right there with Boston, Miami, Los Angeles, Orlando, and San Antonio, among the title contenders.
