Watch the Spurs travel to the Windy City to finish out the Rodeo Road Trip against the Chicago Bulls tonight on TNT!
The Spurs continue their success on the RRT with a (relativity) easy win at New Jersey.
In case the Nets needed another reminder where they stand in the NBA hierarchy, the Spurs provided it at the Prudential Center on Monday, holding New Jersey to 35 percent shooting in an easy 102-85 victory. Brook Lopez did record another double-double.
The Nets won two out of three last week, including a nice win over the Hornets and a road win over the Bobcats but their loss at home to the Amare-less Knicks hurt them...or maybe it's just the anticipation of how they will do against the best teams in the West and East this week.
The Spurs crushed the Wizards Saturday, winning by 26 and making Washington look foolish. Of course, two nights earlier, the 76ers made them look silly, beating San Antonio 77-71. On such thin reeds lies hope. The Spurs are on pace to win 68 games.
Jeff Pearlman of the Wall Street Journal profiles Jordan Farmar and Sasha Vujacic and their transition from the warmth of winning in L.A. to the cold of losing in N.J. Both were members of the rotation with the Lakers, but didn't play big minutes. Now, with the Nets, they are featured players, if not starters.
With the exception of Derrick Favors, the Nets will be off for All-Star Break following Wednesday's game in Boston. Not only that, but the Nets will be playing a limited number of games over the next month, thanks to a nine-day layoff for the All-Star Game and then some added time off around the London Games. The Nets play only nine games in the four weeks that begin this Thursday
