Since his arrival in 2005, George Karl and the Nuggets have had an innate ability to finish seasons as the hottest team in the NBA only to become early exit victims in the post-season.
No team in NBA history has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit to win a playoff series. That's excellent news for Thunder fans, as the Thunder have taken a 3-0 series lead on the Nuggets.
One of these days, an NBA team will recover from an 0-3 deficit and win a playoff series. Unfortunately, this incarnation of the Denver Nuggets isn't that team.
So, you've won both games 1 and 2? Well then, it's time to prove your real worth. Plenty of teams have won their first two games at home, only to lose the series or have it go seven games.
We still give Denver a 25.9% chance to win this series even with losses in the first two games. Why? Well, largely because they have three of the next five at home and because we still believe they are a better team.
Can the Nuggets still win this series? It depends on who you ask.
The Thunder take a 2-0 advantage over the Denver Nuggets. Blayne, Brent, and Michael discuss the keys to Thunder victory in the first two games and what we expect to see in games three and four.
George Karl needs to answer for his curious George lineups thus far.
The one wasn't the coach's finest moment. The Nuggets seemed like they couldn't do anything right on their way to a 106-89 loss in game two of the Western Conference first round.
