Come talk Nuggets! First half thread
All signs point to a long series, but rest, home court and Andrew Bynum tilt the balance of power ever so slightly in the Lakers' favor.
We're first and foremost Nuggets fans and wanted to give you guys a little bit of insite and commentary into our first round picks. This piece is similar to last year's piece in that I provided Eastern Conference commentary and Matt provided the Western Conference insight.
Since joining the NBA in 1976, the Denver Nuggets have met up with the Los Angeles Lakers five times in the Western Conference playoffs ... losing all five series and having won just four total games combined in those five series. Could the Nuggets reverse history and best the Lakers this time around?
If Karl can convince his team to push the pace and turn up the tempo against L.A., then they stand a much greater chance of pulling off the would-be upset.
The Nuggets managed to beat the tanking Minnesota Timberwolves by nearly 30 while getting excellent performances from most of their starting five. Along the way we got to see players such as Julyan Stone and Jordan Hamilton ... players whom we haven't seen for awhile. Now, bring on the Lakers! Series starts on Sunday at 1:30 pm MT at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Prepare yourselves Nuggets fans
