Armor owners sell out to Pistons group

The Nets will not have an affiliate in Springfield next season. The teams owners have sold out to a Michigan group who will move the club to Grand Rapids,where it will become a Pistons affiliate. The move leaves the Nets without a D-League presence.

Darius Johnson-Odom, the ex-Laker who helped turn the Armor season around, will get another chance at the NBA. He was signed Friday by the Sixers. Johnson-Odum worked out for the Nets last week but Brooklyn signed Jorge Gutierrez.

Nets to choose between two PG's for 15th spot

Marc Stein reports the Nets have worked out two D-League point guards, Darius Johnson-Odom and Jorge Gutierrez, and are likely to sign one to a 10-day contract by week's end.

Armor's Reed has 29 and 13 in loss

Willie Reed, the Armor's 6'10" power forward, put on another show Monday night, scoring a career high 29 points on 10-of-14 shooting and grabbing 13 boards, but the Armor lost to the Erie BayHawks. Over the last six, Reed is averaging 21 and 13.2.

Armor wins again; Ebanks scores 31

The Armor, who started slower than their parent club, continued winning Sunday, beating the Canton Charge, the Cavs' affiliate, 110-97, at the MassMutual Center in Springfield. Again, it was the Armor's Big Four who led the way, with 20 points each.

Devin Ebanks stars again for Armor

Devin Ebanks arrived on the scene in Springfield just as Adonis Thomas got called up by the Orlando Magic and the 6'9" small forward has picked up his production and the Armor hasn't missed a beat. On Friday night, they won again, beating Austin.

No Thomas, but Ebanks debuts in Armor loss

Adonis Thomas signed a 10-day contract with the Magic Tuesday, depriving the Armor of one-half of its recent 1-2 scoring punch. But they picked up ex-Laker Devin Ebanks, who finished with 19. Willie Reed had 20 and 13 for Springfield Monday
