In their next to last game ... ever, the Springfield Armor defeated the Delaware 87ers, 124-114 in Newark, DL, Friday night. Lorenzo Brown’s 28 points, 23 in the second half, helped power the Armor past the 87ers.

The Nets will not have an affiliate in Springfield next season. The teams owners have sold out to a Michigan group who will move the club to Grand Rapids,where it will become a Pistons affiliate. The move leaves the Nets without a D-League presence.

Adonis Thomas and Lorenzo Brown, the Nets two second round "equivalents" were finally in uniform together Monday night after being cut by NBA clubs last week, but the big story was 23-year-old Willie Reed who dropped 20 points and grabbed 24 boards.

Darius Johnson-Odom, the ex-Laker who helped turn the Armor season around, will get another chance at the NBA. He was signed Friday by the Sixers. Johnson-Odum worked out for the Nets last week but Brooklyn signed Jorge Gutierrez.

Adonis Thomas signs 10-day contract with Magic
