With the Clippers and Grizzlies deadlocked at two games apiece, Kevin Lipe of Grizzly Bear Blues and I had a chat, a bit of a chin wag about the series so far.
From Z-Bo's benching to Lionel's surly pressers, haven't we seen this all before?
Settle down, Keyon.
Great times for the Clippers!
Ryan Hollins joins the Clippers this season, his sixth NBA team in seven years. He's long and fairly athletic and should be able to provide some spot minutes at the backup center spot, but shouldn't be counted on as a significant contributor.
The Los Angeles Clippers agree to terms with free agent center Ryan Hollins.
I guess Big Baby wasn't the only one struggling with his role on the Celtics in the last couple of years. "Training Camp MVP" Jermaine O'Neal, who is signing with the Lakers for the minimum, apparently wanted to shoot more.
In general, the best possible way to look at this draft (and probably the way that the Celtics are already spinning it) is that we drafted the best players available (Sullinger is top 10 talent and Melo was projected in the lottery at times this year) and also managed to fill team needs (did you notice that we were short on bigs last year?).
Cleveland Cavaliers' Worst Center of the Century: DeSagana Diop
Cleveland Cavaliers Worst Power Forward of the Century: Jawad Williams
Kevin Garnett pulled Ryan Hollins aside for 20 minutes after practice and gave him a crash course in advanced NBA post-work.
