According to our estimates, Mikhail Prokhorov's bill for your Brooklyn Nets is now at about $347.55 million, a bit more than previously reported. It may not end there. Sam Amick notes the Nets interest in Josh Smith shows Prokhorov is still "all-in."

Avery Johnson announced Thursday afternoon that the Nets will use the amnesty provision of the new CBA on Travis Outlaw, taking the remaining $28 million of his contract off the Nets salary. The move was long anticipated.
The Nets have been through this before. On Friday afternoon, they began training camp, again dealing with the circus of trade rumors. And again, they had no choice but to get started with their preparation for the season that starts on Dec. 26. Fourteen Nets were in the gym, but Travis Outlaw can't partake in contact drills or scrimmages for 10 days.
The Nets have announced that Travis Outlaw has been cleared to begin contact in 10 days, meaning he will miss the first week of training camp. Outlaw broke his hand and reportedly had surgery eight weeks ago. Outlaw was examined by team doctors.

Alex Raskin of HoopsWorld reports that if the Nets don't "absolutely need" the cap space, they will not waive Travis Outlaw under the amnesty clause nor renounce their Bird Rights to Kris Humphries.
Ken Berger, off lockout duty, reports that the Nets are one of six teams who's expressed interest in Nene Hilario and he suggests the 6'11" forward/center may command the maximum salary. The six teams who have registered interest, according to Berger's source: the Warriors, Pacers, Mavericks, Rockets, Heat and Mavericks.
