The Nets have announced that Travis Outlaw has been cleared to begin contact in 10 days, meaning he will miss the first week of training camp. Outlaw broke his hand and reportedly had surgery eight weeks ago. Outlaw was examined by team doctors.

The Nets will likely use the amnesty clause to waive Outlaw, but it's unclear what the league rules are regarding players who were injured during the lockout.
